Mobile homes are generally not thought of as luxury abodes, but the Sky Lounge is an exception. Made by Marchi Mobile, it costs around $2.5 million dollars. The company’s website describes the Sky Lounge as “one of the true highlights of the eleMMent palazzo Superior,” its top-of-the-line model. It is popular with celebrities, especially musicians who are on tour.
The Sky Lounge is huge; it’s 45 feet long and 13 feet tall. The roof deck, which has an automatic lift system, can add seven more feet to its height. That deck comes with a table and seating. The master bedroom boasts a king-size bed made by the same manufacturer that provides beds to the British royal family. It also has a large-screen table and dressing table.
The lounge area features an adjustable sofa that’s 13 feet long. It also has a bar with a wine cabinet, coffee machine and liquor-dispensing system. The well-appointed kitchen includes a refrigerator, freezer, ice-maker and sink. It also has storage cabinets and a stove with a fume hood. The spa area includes a rain shower, vanity and towel-dryer. As might be guessed, the Sky Lounge is not even remotely fuel efficient; it gets a measly eight miles to the gallon. On the other hand, the manufacturers did use LED lights. The driver’s cockpit was inspired by the latest in aviation; the windshield resembles that of a helicopter and the controls are patterned after those a of a jet plane.
